What to Expect if you are successfully Hired !

Only once we confirm your employment, we will help you all along the way with all the required documents that you need, but bear in mind that you will need to pay for some of the following prior to joining:

Mandatory:

Seamans Medical                             +- R6000.00 – All crew must pass medical

C1 D visas cost                                   US $ 160 – All crew require this

Criminal Clearance costs               +/- R180 – All crew require this

Schengen visas cost Euros 60 – only if required

Seaman’s book cost US $ 50 (current conversion rate is R 696,81) – Only if  required

STCW training certification – estimated cost for all R5000 – R10,000. – Only if required

Most flights for crew are provided depending on the cruise company – crew are responsible for their own cost home if you resign or you are dismissed.

REIMBURSEMENTS BY CRUISE LINE COMPANY – Only once onboard

US Visa – Reimbursed upon joining the vessel – cost of visa only

Additional entry visa’s – Reimbursed upon joining the vessel – cost of visa only

MEDICALS – Reimbursed upon joining the vessel.

This will vary from cruise line company

Vaccinations if required – Applicant’s cost but reimbursed after joining

STCW or certificates if required for your position – Applicant’s cost

Disapproved medical – Applicant’s cost

Seaman’s book – Applicant’s cost

Police clearance certificate – Reimbursed upon receipt of payment provided when joining the vessel.

NO AGENCY OR ADMIN FEES WILL BE CHARGED AT ANY STAGE OF THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS.
